Craftify Your Halloween!

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the oppressive heat to be gone and feel a cool breeze in the air! Now that my son is getting older and recognizes the things around him more and more, I feel the need to up my game when it comes to decorating for the holidays.
First holiday challenge up for me? Halloween! Which also happens to be my 2nd favorite holiday. Here are 6 crafts out in blogland right now that I am finding very inspirational.

Wood Carved Pumpkins from You Craft Me Up!
I **LOVE** pumpkin decorations! They just scream fall. I’m thinking I can make a jack-o-lantern out of one side of these and have the back be this gorgeous pumpkin with the scrollwork. (That’s one of my big Halloween “tricks” when it comes to jack-o-lantern decorations. Turn it around after Halloween and ta da! You have an adorable pumpkin!)

Yummy Mummy Treat Jars from Craft-O-Maniac
Jenn has gone Halloween crazy on her blog, and I’m loving.every.minute.of it! These little mummy jars are so simple to create and super cute! They would make great favors for a Halloween party. Be sure and go see all of Jenn’s other fun Halloween crafts.

Halloween Advent Calendar from Oopsey Daisy
This isn’t just any advent calendar. This is a CANDY Halloween calendar! To countdown the days until Halloween, Alison is putting a piece of candy on each date and taking them off one day at a time to eat. This is my kind of calendar! Unfortunately, the hubs and I would be fighting over who would get to eat the candy each day. 😉 Be sure and get Alison’s free calendar dates download so you can make one of these for your very own!

Feather Boa Wreath from David, Courtney, and Camryn
I am definitely making a wreath for Halloween this year (can you believe I don’t have one??), and I’ve already purchased the wreath form and a black feather boa. So I’m loving the inspiration from this wreath! Its almost what I already had in mind!

BOOtiful Burlap Wreath from Craftaholics Anonymous
I’m loving Linda’s wreath, too. The pieces of black burlap give this a warm fall feel, and I love the letters! I already have in mind to try to incorporate my BOO letters from last year on this year’s wreath.
apothecary
This craft is actually something I bookmarked last year, but I still love it! I may have to wait a year or two when my little guy is older until I try to make some. He just wouldn’t really get it right now. But I think these are just too fun! AND there is a link on the blog to a place you can download these labels. Yay!
And if all of that is not enough, there are many blogs out there hosting their own Halloween/Fall parties.
Be sure to check out eighteen25 all month while they have guests posting fun Halloween crafts.

And Thrifty Decor Chick is hosting a fall party right now which has several Halloween projects linked up.

So, what about you? Are you ready for Fall and Halloween?
