T-Shirt Design, Announcement, & a {{FREEBIE!!}}

A couple of months ago I decided I needed to make myself a t-shirt design for an upcoming vacation with my family. (If you’ve missed my obsession with heat transfer, you can see more here and here!).
You see, I had an announcement to make to my family and decided to let the t-shirt help me make it.
This is what I came up with…

(You can see that the heat transfer doesn’t look great on the gray up close. I’ll stick with plain white tees from now on.)

Have you figured out my announcement yet?
Those of you who read my blog regularly know that I only have one child. So why on earth would I design a shirt that specifically says, “My kids rock”???

And to finish the story of wearing this shirt on vacation…
Nobody got it.
At all.
My mom admired it. I made a point of saying I had made.
Nuthin’.
The hubs specifically told his mom to take a look at it.
She admired it.
Nuthin’.
FINALLY we had to point out that the KIDS was plural and that we only had the one…
And they got it!
🙂
Next time (if there is one) I think we’ll just tell them.
Happy 10/10/10!!

Cute shirt and clever way to tell everyone!

I gad to laugh because when I was preggers for the first time I bought a bib and put it on the table at dinnertime so my hubby could see it. He was all like, why are you buying bibs if we don't even have a baby yet? Derrrr! LOL He sooo didn't get it until I came out and told him.

What a fun way to tell the family. And what a story to tell!!

I will need to flip the image to use it right?

Congratulations! And I think that's such a fun way to tell people, even if they didn't get it right away. ;)
