Happy 2011!
I wanted to show off a pom pom necklace and some hair clips I made for a friend and her daughter at Christmas. I also made another football inspired necklace with the University of TN theme and a TN Titans theme and, of course, forgot to take pictures of them. Ah well!
My friend's favorite color is purple, and this satin fabric is very reminiscent of the victorian lilac color she used in her wedding.
I love the shabby chic look of the frayed edges the cut satin has.
And, of course, I had to try the necklace on. I do this with all of the necklaces I make!
This little cutie to the left is my friend's daughter. She only 3 months younger than my son, and they became instant friends! It was too cute to see them play together. We will definitely have to start getting together more regularly!
I made her some little flowers to wear in her hair.
I backed them with some felt and clips.
The black and white hair clip happened to match her outfit the night we were over so she got to go ahead and try it on. So cute!!
I'm loving these little pom poms. I will definitely be making more of them!

Oooh I love these too!
ReplyDeleteI love the shabby look of the necklace too and those little hair clips are too much! :)
