Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter Review {& GIVEAWAY!}

Martha+Stewart+Glitter+1
I was recently given the opportunity to review some glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts.
And let me tell you, I jumped at the opportunity!
In this house full of testosterone, glitter and I do not get to play together often.
So when the chance arises, I jump on it!

Martha+Stewart+Glitter+2
I was sent the 24-pack Rich Essentials Glitter Pack.
Don’t all those colors look fun?
Besides narrowing down what I was going to glitter (the list continues to grow!), selecting a color to use was a feat unto itself!
I decided to try my glittering skills on this decorative pear I had that I knew I could give a new look.
Martha+Stewart+Glitter+3
This was my first time using the decoupage + glitter technique and I do believe I’m smitten.
It was super easy!
Apply decoupage, sprinkle on Martha’s glitter, and BAM! Instant makeover!
Martha+Stewart+Glitter+4
Martha’s glitter is so super fine that it cover all areas superbly.
I ended up using 3 different colors (white gold, azurite, and citrine) allowing each section to dry before moving on to the next.
Martha+Stewart+Glitter+5
I glued rhinestones around the center of the pear to complete my look.
Its going to be a great piece for my living room whenever I get a chance to give it a makeover!
These are the colors I have planned!
Glittered+Elephant
And I could not just stop with the pear.
I raided my boys’ animal toys (shhh!) and decided this little elephant could use a makeover.
I used the white gold on him, too.
Martha+Stewart+Glitter+6
Isn’t he so cute?
Martha+Stewart+Glitter+7
I’m going to be on the lookout for some more little animals to glitter.
Martha+Stewart+Glitter+8
I also used the Pledge/glitter technique on one of the handprint ornaments I made with my boys over the weekend. I love this blue topaz color!
The Martha Stewart Crafts glitter is perfect for this technique.

And I have exciting news!
One lucky reader will receive their own 24-pack glitter set!

Another thing to do with glitter: Get your glue gun and plug her in. Pour glitter into an tin/aluminum pie plate. Use your glue gun to "draw" a snowflake in the glitter. Shake/pour more glitter on top of your glue creation. Let it harden, then take it out. Stick it with a thumbtack or small nail then put a paperclip in the small hole. Voila! You have your own glitter ornament! (Okay, you may want to make a hole in it before it finishes drying/hardening.)

Ornaments, I have so many different kinds that require glitter that are on my list; primarily ones involving sheet music and glitter.

I'd love to use this to dress up some plain white Christmas balls that we have on our tree. I'd love to try to "paisley" them.rsgrandinetti@yahoo(DOT)com
