Easter Mantel {World Market}

Easter+Mantel+1
I am so excited to show you guys my Easter mantel!
With Easter being in March this year, it is the perfect excuse to go ahead and take down the winter decor and brighten the place up a bit with some fresh new items from one of my favorite places to shop.
World+Market
Did you guess it was Cost Plus World Market?
I swear I would marry this store if I could.
Not only do they have amazing every day items (hello! Living room makeover in progress over here. I need one of their amazing sofas!), but they really go all out for the holidays as well.

Easter+Mantel+2
These are but a few of the items I found during my shopping trip.
From kitchen to party, from home decor to Easter baskets, World Market can really set you up with some amazing items this holiday!
And one of the best things, in my opinion, about the holiday items that World Market carries is that they actually fit right in with the everyday items they already carry!
Easter+Mantel+3
I was so excited to be able to do my Easter decor shopping at World Market this year.
We actually don’t have too terribly many decorations for this holiday, and I want that to change as my boys get older. They are getting to an age where they actually appreciate the decorations that go up!
These are the fun items I found to work with for my new Easter mantel display!
Split pea soup mix and all!
I was sharing sneak peeks all last week on Instagram. Were you been keeping up with me?
Easter+Mantel+4
We actually have a large television over our mantel, but I never let that deter me from decorating.
The bunting on the tv may not get to last long, but doesn’t it help the space?
Also I just love how draping the crochet fabric napkins across the ledge softens the space.
Easter+Mantel+5
I love apothecary jars and can you believe this is my first time buying one?
I filled with the shredded paper and gourmet jelly beans.
Tip: place a cup or a short cylindrical item inside your apothecary jar to take up extra space.
That way you can use fewer filler items!

The aqua muffin pan… oh how I love this item! I don’t know that I ever want to bake with it. I just want to look at it! Which is why its on my mantel. I added a couple of little chicks and an egg to add even more whimsy to the piece.
Were you wondering what I was going to do to incorporate the split pea soup mix?
I thought the coloring was perfect with my Easter color scheme and would make an excellent filler for the mandarin orange candle I had picked out.
The felt rope finishes off the look of the candle to help bring out the green from the soup mix.
(The glass the candle is in is from my own stash.)

Could you not just die over this adorable bunny?
He is not the only one to be found at World Market either. There are several more in all shapes and sizes!
I thought the vase was a great accent for the bunny. It almost looks like he’s standing under a small plant.
In a couple of my own jars I added the last of the gourmet jelly beans.
And I love the vintage look of the cardboard egg container.
Easter+Mantel+7
The woodland whimsy of the egg plate really caught my eye in the store. I knew I needed one!
In the frame I have an Easter gift bags that I trimmed down to size.
Quite possibly one of my favorite pieces is the unpainted bunny! He comes with a paint set, but I really love him just the way he is. And he fits perfectly in the aqua canister!
Easter+Mantel+8
I always feel like my mantel isn’t quite finished until I have some bunting on it.
I used the green felt rope to create a double layer of bunting.
On the top layer I added little decorative eggs. They came with a ribbon loop to hang them in an Easter tree.
I snipped the ribbon in half and used it to tie them to the rope.
All of the rest of the bunting (including what is on the television) is mulberry paper and Easter tissue paper that I trimmed and stitched together. The doily look on the tv bunting was made using one of my favorite tools.
Easter+Mantel+9
I love that I was able to create a cohesive look using some items even outside of the Easter decor section
that World Market has available!
What do you think? Would you use some of these items in your Easter decor?

It is so pretty and perfect for Easter! I have not even dared to go to World Market (no job for hubby = no money to spend...so sad!). I kind of want to put a bunting on my TV just to take a photo of my husbands face when he walks in the room!

Derek would kill me if I put bunting in front of the television screen. One Halloween I had some fake cobwebs on the top corner of the tv - not even the screen - and that didn't even last one day!
