We are a pasta-loving family which is why you see so many pasta recipe on Tried on Tuesday. Today’s main dish recipe is another of those pasta dishes. And the only thing better than a pasta dish is a BAKED pasta dish! And this, my friends, is just such a recipe and you can make it from start to finish in under an hour.
This Chicken Alfredo Baked Ziti from Gimme Some Oven is perfect for picky eaters and loaded with protein from the chicken. My little guys (and the big one, too!) gobbled this main dish right up! It’s one of our favorites to make. For them, because it tastes so good. For me, because it’s simple to make, and I’m not spending hours in the kitchen prepping dinner!
Hint: When a recipe calls for cooked shredded chicken, I throw some chicken breasts in the crock pot with some water in the morning and let them simmer on low until dinner. Then, poof!, cooked chicken ready to go. Cook some extra chicken breasts and shred them, too, and save in the fridge for other meals during the week.
