Cross-Stitch Leather Cuffs (FREE Patterns)

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets!

I received free product from DMC but all opinions and ideas are my own.

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets!I am so excited that cross-stitch is becoming more mainstream and, dare I say it, COOL! There are so many creative ways to use it and so many pattern possibilities that it can be incorporated just about anywhere. This isn’t your Grandma’s cross-stitch, y’all!

When DMC sent me some of their new Stitchable Cuffs I was super excited to try them out. These leather bracelets have pre-punched holes just waiting to be stitched and customized! I knocked out two patterns right away, and I love how different they are! And I’m sharing the free patterns with you guys.

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets! The leather cuffs are 9 count x 35 count (1″ x 4″) and come in 4 colors: navy, black, white, and pink. I plan to stitch them ALL!

I started with the floral pattern on the navy cuff and chose colors for the flowers, leaves, and used plain white for the “background.”

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets! To further feminize the cuff, I added some store bought crochet ribbon. It was the perfect shade of green! I simply stitched it into the edges of the cuff with thread of a similar shade.

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets! The holes on the cuffs are a bit larger in diameter than your standard cross-stitch fabric so to be sure the pattern really stood out I used all 6 strands of DMC thread. You can definitely use less, but I like the chunkier look it gives the pattern.

FREE Floral Leather Cuff Cross-Stitch Pattern

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets!I also wanted to create a super fun cuff, and what’s more fun than Wonder Woman?? I used a very sharp needle for this cuff because, for the angles in that W, you need to push the needle through the center of a cross-stitch square to do half stitches. My needle went through the leather without a problem. Again, I used 6 strands of DMC thread for the pattern, but only 2 strands for the black thread. It turned out so fun on the white cuff!

FREE Wonder Woman Leather Cuff Cross-Stitch Pattern

FREE cross-stitch patterns to make your own fashionable leather cuff bracelets!I love that just by using different patterns these two cuffs have completely different vibes going on!

I have big plans for the remaining black and pink cuffs. My main problem is too many ideas and not enough cuffs!

Enjoy, y’all!

I just happened to find the premade cuffs in Hobby Lobby the other day, they are too expensive to buy singly...so, I am going to bust out my many cross stitching books, and make some up with the inexpensive plastic canvas sheets. They are only about 70 cents a sheet, and you can get several sheets for what just one of those premade cuffs cost! I am off to look for some other crafty ideas online...am thinking of making some Christmas themed glass blocks. Happy Holidays all!
