One of my favorite things about decorating with pumpkins in the fall is that I can decorate one side for Halloween and leave the other side untouched for when it’s over.

It’s just a matter of rotating the pumpkin to see which side I want!

I’ve had this large faux pumpkin for quite awhile.

Several years back I gave it the glitter treatment and love the subtle sparkle it has. I

t’s been plain for years, and I’ve finally decided to dress it up Halloween!

Lucky for me, Expressions Vinyl is launching a new transfer tape which made lining up this vinyl project a breeze!

This is a photo of two different rolls of transfer tape.

The roll on the top is the one I normally use which is a clear tape.

I love it because I can easily see exactly where I am placing vinyl on my projects.

The roll on the bottom is also clear transfer tape, but it has grid lines!

Not only can I see exactly where I am placing my vinyl, but I can’t be sure it’s all lined up perfect, too!

This can be vital for so many vinyl projects.

Expressions Vinyl is going to begin selling this grid line clear vinyl tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24th so be sure to stock up!

Now to see it in action…

I chose the Happy Haunting Phrase from the Silhouette Design Store to add to my pumpkin.

I sized it appropriately and cut it out on gold metal adhesive vinyl.

I used a paper trimmer to cut straight edges with 90 degree angles all around the design.

I lined up the transfer tape on my image.

Trim off excess tape from the paper backing.

Rub the image to transfer it to the tape.

Slowly pull the paper backing from transfer tape.

You’ll be left with the vinyl on the transfer tape, perfectly lined up and ready to be applied to a surface.

The grid lines made it super simple for my to line up my image and center it on the pumpkin!

Start in the center of the image and work your way out, smoothing with your fingers as you go.

Once smoothed out, go back over the image with an application tool to be sure it is good and adhered.

Then slowly peel up the transfer tape.

This ghoulishly glam pumpkin such a cute addition to my Halloween decor!

And on November 1st all I have to do is turn the pumpkin around.

I can’t wait to use the grid line transfer tape on other projects! It is going to make lining things up soooo much simpler!
