Craft Desk Update - Week 2

I thought I would make my cleaning of the craft desk area a weekly thing
1) because it motivates me to work on it
and
2) it sounds like y'all like me keeping it real at how disasterous my area is!

So let's do a comparison!
I swear there's been improvement even though it may not look like it!
If you look closely you can see that you can see a little more of the top of my desk.
And the floor may look more cluttered, but actually I've started putting things into piles for easier organization once the top of the desk is really cleaned off.
I actually spent most of my snow day last Monday cleaning out these:

These 4 drawers of my desk are my only not craft-related space in this area. They are dedicated to personal paper files, address labels, desk tools such as pens, stapler, spare computer parts, etc.
It has apparently when YEARS since I cleaned these drawers because I found Christmas receipts from as far back as 2006 in there! After a massive clean out I actually have one of the drawers free which will quickly be consumed with craft supplies. Yay!!
Now with this done, I'm ready to go back and tackle the rest of my desk...

  1. My garage is a crafters mess and dream at the same time..I actually cleaned it up and my husband does not believe me..so I relate to those photos.

  2. Oooh! You're doing well! It's fun to see the progress. I'm envious of your desk and all that space!

  3. It starts out overwhelming but take baby steps and it will happen. We did a major decluttering of our whole house two years ago. What a job.
Now I need to touch up a bit. Crazy how things pile up. Good luck.

  4. SO glad to know that someone else has a craft space as messy as mine! I got mine cleaned up last week and it's been SO great! Good luck to you!
