Fall Wreath

September 12, 2010 By: Michele McDonald22 Comments

Finally! I have my fall wreath up on the door.

After traveling to to Cincinatti this weekend for the CKC convention (more on that later) and seeing all of the trees already starting to turn colors up there, it made me just itch to get the fall decor out as soon as I got home.

This is a wreath I made years ago when we moved into our house.

I wrapped a grapevine wreath with raffia and made a big raffia bow.

I tucked fall flowers, acorns, and gourds into the corner of the wreath.

I also added some fall berries, twine, and leaves.

I love the colors of fall. So warm and welcoming!

Now, about that CKC convention I mentioned earlier… Its a large scrapbook convention that is held all over the US. This particular one was suppose to be here in Nashville, but due to the flood in May, the venue where it was to be held had to cancel and the convention was moved to Cincinatti. My girlfriends and I decided to give it a go and made a weekend of it.

We had a blast!

Here’s a little sneak peek of what I worked on.
Fun, right? I’m hoping to get it finished soon then I’ll share the rest of it.

In the meantime, stayed tuned later this week when I share some of the very fun projects I saw at the convention that are sure to inspire. And, no, they don’t have to be just for scrapbookers!
