Back when my husband and I were newly married and living in an apartment, I was pretty obsessed with the house selling shows on tv. I was always listening for new ideas and things I should be looking for when the time came for us to buy our first home.
Now that we’ve been happy homemakers for nearly 10 years, I’m more attracted to tv shows that give me ideas to update my space, preferably easily and economically. I find all of that and more with Home Made Simple on the OWN Network!
Home Made Simple airs Saturday mornings at 9am ET / 8am CT. In each episode the crew makes over a space in a family’s home and includes a lot of fun DIY projects.
One of my favorite episodes is Decking Out with Southern Charm. The crew comes in and completely transforms a deck area for a family. Not only do they paint the deck in a fun bright color, but they stencil it, too! That’s right up my DIY alley!
They also complete several other DIYs including a gorgeous hanging flower sphere, chicken wire memo board, and an amazing floating lounger. Really, lots of fun ideas that I can make for my own home!
Be sure to check them out online to learn more about the series and find great tutorials from past episodes.
Home Made Simple is my new Saturday morning routine and design destination! Be sure to tune in on Saturday mornings at 9am/8c, only on OWN.
