About Me - The Scrap Shoppe

Hello! My name is Michele, and I own and run The Scrap Shoppe.

The Scrap Shoppe focuses on creating fun, creative, and unique craft and DIY projects for the home that ANYONE can create. This includes but is not limited to home decor, organization, kid activities, gardening, and small crafts.

I’m a mom to two brilliant little boys, wife to a great man, and puppy mom to our sweet dog.

I used to work full time as a research scientist at a university in Nashville, TN but gave it up to spend more time with my family and run my blog and Etsy shop full time.

Other than playing with my boys, I love to craft. I grew up in a home with a very creative mother, so I definitely have an “I can make that!” attitude, and tend to give things a try on my own instead of purchasing the things I see.

You’ll find an eclectic collection of projects here on my blog since I enjoy dabbling in all sorts of different media. From paper crafting to scrapbooking, from jewelry making to

home decor, there’s a little bit of everything around here! I’ve even started sewing!
