When I went to a scrapbook convention back in the summer one of the booths had made some garland out of Maya Road chipboard. I thought it was a fantastic idea and decided to give it a try myself!
So I bought a set of these...
And spray painted them with this...
They ended up looking like this...
And I inadvertently did this in the surrounding grass...
Kind of cool, right?
I made myself some jack-o-lantern faces using P K Glitz "steel" glitter
(which is awesome!).
You can read more about P K Glitz here.
Before adding the glitter I also added some fun swirlies with stamps.
I used some green glitter glue for the stems.
The orange was a little bright so I added some of this...
Ignore the pumpkins in the background. I'll tell you more about those in another post!
The gold had just the effect I was looking for...
I love the extra sparkle!
I added some fun things to the back of the jack-o-lanterns...
I ended up only using 5 of the 6 pumpkins for the garland. This way I could use the only embossed pumpkin as the center.
I put together some leaves and ribbon to go in between the pumpkins. I had to be sure they looked good front and back!
I'm loving the fact that I have garland for Halloween...
That I can turn around and use again once the holiday is over!!
