I received free product from Expressions Vinyl for this post. However, as always, all ideas and opinions are my own.

This colorful free cut file that I’m sharing with you today works with the Print and Cut feature on the Silhouette. Printable adhesive vinyl is one of my favorite inventions! It literally allows you to create anything and stick it anywhere. Even on a mug! I’ll show you how to make it safe to wash, though you can use this image for any project.
You can download my Mom Life free cut file here. It will work for Silhouette users. Unfortunately there is not a simple way to convert SVG files into usable files for other cutting machines. (Sorry, guys!)
Prior to opening the cut file, change the paper size to match the size of your vinyl, in this case 8.5″x11″.
Open the “REGISTRATION MARKS” window and select the style of Silhouette you are using and the registration marks will appear on the paper.
Insert the cut file and arrange it so that it does not overlap any of the registration marks. Resize as needed for your project.
The text “The Mom Life” can be seen in white on the flowers. We need to make it invisible prior to printing.
Sometimes the Print and Cut feature doesn’t line up exactly as you want. To avoid this issue, we will “remove” the text by making it invisible, but the software will still know it is there and will still cut it when the time comes.
Click on the text then open the “LINE COLOR” window. Select the “grid” looking box amongst the colors. The text now looks like it has disappeared.
Send the file to the printer.
I found that the “Printable Adhesive Cardstock” material setting worked perfectly for cutting this adhesive vinyl.
Cover the vinyl with transfer tape and apply it to a mug, starting in the center and smoothing it out with your fingers towards the outside of the pattern. Remove the transfer tape.
Follow directions on Dishwasher-Safe Decou-Page to apply it to the vinyl and around it’s edges.
And you can see I used the extra vinyl to make a pretty card! Perfect for giving to a friend.
