17 {Unusual} Easter Egg Character Ideas

March 25, 2013 By: Michele McDonald4 Comments

It is amazing to me how creative people can be when creating their Easter eggs each year.
Not only are there so many different ways to dye the eggs and add intricate designs, but people go to great lengths to turn their eggs into different recognizable characters!

I’m not sure I could do this to an egg that I knew was going to eventually be destroyed, but it would fun to do on plastic or wooden eggs.

Here are 17 {unusual} Easter egg character ideas that I have gathered from around the web!

1. Superhero eggs from Aces 2. Circus Man egg from Sweet Bestiary 3. Cartoon Character eggs from Egg Graffiti
4. Superhero eggs at Gaming Angel 5. Where’s Waldo? egg at The Big Egg Hunt 6. R2D2 egg from smile!mermaid  7. Angry Birds eggs from Amanda Younger
8. Alice in Wonderland eggs from John Lamouranne via 2pep 9. Yoda egg from John Lamouranne via DailyMail 10. Edward Scissorhands at BuzzFeed 11. The Beatles eggs from John Lamouranne via DailyMail
12. Egg family from Pilli Pilli 13. Audrey Hepburn egg at BuzzFeed 14. Super Mario Brother eggs from Serena Jae
15. Battlestar Gallactica eggs at Geeks are Sexy 16. Monster’s Inc. egg at BuzzFeed 17. Dalek & Tardis eggs at The Artsy Nerd

To see more of amazing egg artist John Lamouranne’s work you can visit his website!
What do you think? If you could keep these year after year would you try to make them?
I have to admit, making some of the Disney character and superheroes sounds like a lot of fun!!
