Spooky Spider Web Pumpkin
I'm so excited that October is finally here!! I am finally ready to show you ALL MONTH LONG some fun Halloween and fall projects I've been working on!
Last month I shared this photo with on you my Facebook page:
I gathered all of this from a quick mommy getaway shopping trip.
I scored all of my loot from Home Goods and Michael's.
Today I want to show you how I made a spooky spider web pumpkin from the purple bowl!
I found the bowl at Home Goods on clearance for $4. I just knew I could fit it into my Halloween decor! Its a rather large shallow glass bowl with a flower pattern and covered in the back with purple glitter.
To make the spooky spider web pumpkin you only need 3 things:
a (decorative) bowl
ribbon
glitter glue
To make the spider's web, start making lines with the glitter glue all the way around the bowl.
Allow the glue to dry for an hour or two then go back and start filling in the rest of the web.
To make the stem, I twisted a paper lunch bag into the shape I wanted then wrapped it with tape to hold its shape. Then I wrapped the ribbon around it.
I used Beacon's 3-in-1 to adhere the stem to the bowl.
And now we have a spider web pumpkin!
I used a plate holder to stand the "pumpkin" up on my mantle and attached a small spider to the center of the web.
I love the crooked stem!
