Summer is HERE!! This is my first year as a work at home mom with both of my boys with me all summer. We are working on figuring out a good schedule for ourselves. Since I still need to get work done at least a couple of days of the week I’m on the hunt to find some things they can do outside. So the inside will be nice and quiet for me!
I was perusing Hometalk for some good ideas and found so many I ended up curating an entire clipboard! Be sure to check out all 20 Outdoor Activities for Kids that I discovered. There are some dandies! And most are pretty feasible to get started asap. Others will be fun to do together!
A few of my favorites are the tic-tac-toe on an old tree stump, handmade LEGO planters, making terrariums, and painted river rocks. Be sure to check the clipboard to see all of the great ideas!
Here are a few activities that we have enjoyed in the past!
How to Make a Tire Swing
An old tire and chain can be a ton of fun! You’ll find this fun outdoor project in my Hometalk clipboard above.
Glow in the Dark Water Balloons
We came up with this fun game just last summer. It’s a fun way to beat the heat after the sun goes down.
PVC Pipe Car Wash
This isn’t your ordinary PVC pipe car wash. It uses a secret ingredient! Be sure to check out what it is!
Indoor/Outdoor Scavenger Hunt
This scavenger hunt is perfect for toddlers and older children. It comes with free printables for outdoor scavenging, and indoors for those rainy days.
What fun ideas do you have to keep the kids entertained outdoors? If you’ve shared them on Hometalk I would love to add them to my Outdoor Activities for Kids clipboard!
