So you know I love a good upcycle, right? There’s just something that makes you feel good about being able to find a new use for something that most people would toss into the trash. More and more people are getting creative with their “trash” and coming up with some really amazing ideas.
I recently curated a clipboard on Hometalk (are you following me there??) for Repurposed Food Cans and found some fantastic ideas from my fellow Hometalkers! From home decor to storage ideas, and entertaining to gardening you have GOT to check out these amazing project ideas. Be sure to hop over to the clipboard to see all 17 ideas I gathered. And I’m sure I’ll find more to add!
In the meantime I want to share a few more of my personal upcycles using food containers and hope you’ll be inspired!
Baker’s Twine Storage
You’ll find this twine storage in the clipboard I curated. It has to be one of my favorite upcycles and I still use it in my craft space! Can you guess the containers I recyled?
Altered Peanut Can Mini Albume
Anytime I throw an empty can of peanuts away I feel super guilty. There are so many amazing things that can be done with them! You’ll have to click over and see how I turned this one into a mini album.
Upcycled Tin Canister
Paper crafting and I go way back. And it’s my favorite way to give something a “new” look! This tin canister once held hot chocolate and became pretty packaging for a gift.
Candy Gift Container
When in a crunch to get things wrapped during the holidays I tend to turn to my cupboards. Can you guess what this teacher’s gift once was?
Creative Ribbon Storage
While at a scrapbook crop I discovered someone using old Starbuck’s bottles for ribbon storage. How adorable and creative is that? Be sure to check out all of the other creative ribbon storage ideas I gathered in this post.
Are you a fan of upcycling? I’d love to hear about your recent projects!
And be sure to check out my Repurposed Food Cans clipboard on Hometalk, and I would love for you to follow me there as well. It’s such an inspirational platform for creativity!
