Retro Camper Keychain and FREE Pattern

This DIY retro camper keychain and free pattern is perfect to hold your camper keys, or just for fun if you wish you had a retro camper!

Retro Camper Keychain and FREE Perler Bead Pattern
At the beginning of summer I introduced my boys to one of my favorite childhood past times: perler beads (affiliate link)!

Did you play with them when you were little?

I'm surprised at the number of people I've talked to that don't know what they are.

In case you're one of them, they are little beads that are available in a huge number of colors that you make patterns with on a board then iron to fuse the beads together.

SO fun!

I bought some for my kids to enjoy for some summer fun.

Another reason I bought these beads was so I could play with them, too!

And make things like this fun retro camper keychain

Wouldn't this be the cutest to hold the keys to your camper??

Be sure you try out this DIY retro camper keychain and free pattern!

I designed a cute little retro camper perler bead pattern (which could totally be used for cross-stitch, too!) that you can download and use.

You will need a square board and ~7 different colors of beads, but color design is completely up to you.

I purchased most of my perler beads (affiliate link) online.

Follow the directions that come with the beads to iron the pattern and fuse the beads together.

You don't want to melt them so much that you can't see all of the holes in the beads.

Where the camper's hitch is, loop a thin keychain ring through a gap in the beads.

If the beads have fused together too much, you can use a paper piercer to gently make a hole.

Add your key and you're all set!

Now I just need a cute retro camper, right??

Wouldn't that be a dream!!

In the meantime, I'll just dream about having one.

Enjoy the retro camper keychain and free pattern, and if you use it let me know!

I'd love to see your creation!
