This DIY retro camper keychain is perfect to hold your camper keys, or just for fun if you wish you had a retro camper!
At the beginning of summer I introduced my boys to one of my favorite childhood past times: perler beads (affiliate link)!
Did you play with them when you were little?
I’m surprised at the number of people I’ve talked to that don’t know what they are.
In case you’re one of them, they are little beads that are available in a huge number of colors that you make patterns with on a board then iron to fuse the beads together.
Another reason I bought these beads was so I could play with them, too!
And make things like this fun retro camper keychain!
Wouldn’t this be the cutest to hold the keys to your camper??
I designed a cute little retro camper perler bead pattern (which could totally be used for cross-stitch, too!) that you can download and use.
You will need a square board and ~7 different colors of beads, but color design is completely up to you.
I purchased most of my perler beads (affiliate link) online.
You don’t want to melt them so much that you can’t see all of the holes in the beads.
If the beads have fused together too much, you can use a paper piercer to gently make a hole.
Add your key and you’re all set!
Wouldn’t that be a dream!!
Enjoy the retro camper keychain pattern, and if you use it let me know!
I’d love to see your creation!
