Create your own Big Game inspired DIY football coasters & trivet from cork!
If you’re hosting Game Day at your house, and you’re looking for fun ways to serve up your party food, look no further than these easy to make DIY football coasters & trivet.
The best part?
They can be made quickly, inexpensively, and can be customized to your favorite team’s colors!
2 cork placemats
Needle & thread
Place it on the back of the coaster and trace it with a Sharpie.
Trace the template on the back of one of the placemats and cut out the shape.
Mark those holes with a Sharpie so you can easily find them while stitching.
Then go back and add the short stitches over the long stitch.
Follow the Sharpie spots you marked on the back of the coasters.
Repeat with the trivet.
Use a hot glue gun around the edges of the coaster and press onto a piece of felt.
Once dry, trim the felt to the size of the cork football.
The trivet will require two pieces of felt.
Glue one piece to the back of the trivet then line up a second piece right next to it.
If you’re a die hard for a specific team you can easily customize these with a color scheme.
You can even stitch the name of the team on the trivet to further personalize it.
