I mentioned last weekend about attending the big CK scrapbook convention in Nashville. As promised, here are some fun projects and items that I found that I wanted to file away in memory and share with you!
It must be because the new school year is upon us, but I saw a TON of back to school projects all around the convention floor. Above are three of my favorites.
How cute is that 2-page layout with the unsharpened pencils?
I love the circular display of the school bus layout. And its on Kraft paper! I {heart} me some Kraft paper! 🙂
And the First Days mini album was just too adorable with its vintage style.
I love the curtains on this layout. Such a fun way to display a photo!
Besides the super adorable baby in this layout, I love the innovative way that the rolled scrapbook paper was used. So different and, of course, I love the dimension if gives the page!
How fun is this frame decoupaged with vintage style scrapbook paper and those little doorknobs? LOVE!
One of my favorite booths, Nicole Peterson Designs, had a TON of yummy flower goodness in all sorts of media. Nicole specializes in vintage, and I found many, many things that I just had to have from her booth! 🙂
Mental note: Stamp on my crepe paper!
That is all.
I thought this was a cute take on a travel mini album. Its a chipboard suitcase full of pages to decorate inside.
Another favorite booth for myself and my girlfriends was Accent Scrapbooking. They had a lot of unique acrylic and chipboard albums and BANNERS! We all know how I feel about banners, right? No? Then click here. 🙂
Some adorable chipboard mini albums from the same booth.
More unique projects from Accent Scrapbooking. The Christmas tree is made with pieces of scalloped bunting. Cute, right??
And I couldn’t leave without taking a picture of this adorable mini album. I *love, love, love* the vintage style! And the spooled baker’s twine on the binding is just the icing on the cake. Beyond adorable! Its from a booth my girlfriends and I are very familiar with. 😉 Creekbank Creations.
I made sure to stop by the P K Glitz booth to pick up a couple of new glitter packs for Halloween (I’m planning ahead!) and noticed this adorable banner pictured above.
While I was at the convention I had a dream that I was in a vendor’s booth who had Silhouette vinyl and heat transfer for 50% off.
Oh wait! That really happened!! 🙂
I had to seriously control myself and only bought 2 rolls of vinyl (one flocked!) and one heat transfer.
So that was the convention in a nutshell. I have yet to unpack my bags of goodies. But hopefully I will get to that next week. At the moment I’m in full on birthday party planning mode for my soon-to-be 3 year old! Yikes!!
How is your weekend shaping up?
