I shared my adventures of making a homemade Wendy’s Frosty on my Facebook page earlier this week, but I wanted to share a little more info about it here.
But you’ll have to read a couple of other things before I go on and on (and on!)
about the Frosty!
Did you catch the Tennessee Bloggers Mantle Hop yesterday?
I worked all last week finishing projects and getting mine ready to show off.
This is the “spooky” lit version. If you missed any of the mantles in the hop, I encourage you to give them a look! They were all fabulous! You can start at mine and hop right on through via the link at the end of the post.
Several of my mantle projects involved vinyl (tutorials to come next week).
Is this how your vinyl looks when you cut it out?
I’m very much a waste not, want not type of gal so when I cut vinyl (or paper or anything else for that matter) on my Silhouette, I fill in every nook and cranny with possible images I may want to use either now or in the future.
Okay, FINALLY on to the homemade Wendy’s Frosty!
I found this recipe via Pinterest (of course!).
I thought with only 3 ingredients I would give it a try.
(That’s right. Only 3 ingredients!)
Note: I only used a half gallon of chocolate milk (still used the 16 oz {LITE} Cool Whip, and 14 oz sweet condensed milk) and it still tasted plenty chocolatey. And it made a TON. I’m keeping it in the freezer and pulling it out when I start making dinner. Its just the right consistency by the time we’re ready for dessert!
Llet me tell you, it tastes SPOT ON!
And I don’t think you would necessarily have to have an ice cream maker to make this (we have a little electric one). I’m fairly certain you could mix it up with a hand mixer (or Kitchen Aid) and then freeze it to the right consistency. Yum-o!
And because I couldn’t leave you without a picture of this adorable little guy…
It looks like someone has been putting stickers on his little brother…
🙂
Happy weekend, y’all!
I have started truncating my posts to avoid having my content stolen. I hope you’ll click over to finish reading the post. Thank you for understanding!

Your mantle is awesome! I don't seem to have a mantle anymore - Mr. P's tv has somehow expanded to the side the mantle would accomodate O.o I'm focusing on the hearth this year (he hasn't figured out how to put a TV down there yet!

Many years ago Sam's carried a mix that was very similar to the Frosty's. I have missed it every since they quit carrying it. I will give this a try :)
