It’s that time! I love doing recap posts at the end of the year to discover my most popular projects and recap a few of my favorites. I hope you’ll indulge me a little with this list!
This is my 5th year doing these roundups. Be sure to check out past roundups from 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.
And now, in no particular order…
This year I introduced a new series to the blog, Tried it Tuesday! It’s been super fun sharing recipes from other blogs and websites that I’ve discovered through Pinterest.
The series in a nutshell? I find the recipe, try it out, and share it on the series if my family loves it! The internet is full of recipes that don’t necessarily turn out as suggested. My series is full of winning recipes so be sure to check out what you’ve missed by putting “Tried it Tuesday” into the search box in the sidebar.
I’ve been honing my sewing skills this year! I took on making my own bias tape, piping, applique, and mastering my fear of zippers when I created my new Monogram Library Tote and matching Monogram Zipper Pouch!
I created a fun new game for my boys over the summer, Glow in the Dark Water Balloons! It’s perfect for cooling off in the summer heat AND for playing after dark!
I took on a huge project of the summer with my Potting Shed Makeover which included 8 brand new projects. Be sure to check out the after and links to all 8 projects at the end of the post.
I’ve been hand making my boys’ Halloween costumes for several years now, and I thought for sure this year was the most challenging! But all of us loved how their DIY Darth Maul and Yoda Costumes turned out!
Are you wondering why my Christmas Mantel made the list? Well it’s the first time I was really able to embrace and decorate my mantel since we moved the television elsewhere, and I think it turned out just dreamy! Not to mention I finally got to create and use some giant chalk art in the space.
I love this project for it’s simplicity. These Insta-Albums are super easy to put together, perfectly hold printed Instagram photos, and make great gifts!
One of my favorite jewelry projects to date is this Anthro-Inspired Mishale Bib Necklace. Mainly because it is made with Duck Tape! Right?? Right!
Another project I love for it’s simplicity is this Simple DIY Serving Tray. It was so easy to create, looks super stylish, and it gets used daily. I love it!
And, finally, one of my best secrets revealed, the BEST Green Smoothie for Kids! Your kids will be begging for these smoothies, I’m not even joking! My kids literally squeal with delight when I tell them we’re making these green smoothies.
And there you have it! 2014 in a nutshell. It’s definitely not even close to all that I’ve shared, and it was really hard to narrow it down to just these projects, but these are definitely some of the most popular. I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store!

You had a great year! I wish I could move my TV from above the mantel, it really gets in the way of decorating!

Thank you!! It's amazing the difference moving the tv makes. I was stumped how to decorate the mantel when we first moved it!
