Travel Cooler

Turn an ordinary cooler into a fun travel cooler to record all of your vacation destinations!

Do you recognize this cooler? If you've been a World Market recently it probably looks familiar. It's one of their metal coolers, and I just love the retro feel of it. I tried to walk away from it at the store, but it totally won me over, and I plurged a bit on it.

The cooler was also a blank canvas that was just begging for an update. So I decided to give it one in the form of recording our travels on one side and some state love on the other!

For the state love side of the cooler I used the "American Doily" design from the Silhouette library and modified the center star into a Tri-Star image to be representative of the Tennessee state flag. I cut out the various pieces on blue, white, and glitter red adhesive vinyl from Expressions Vinyl (affiliate link).

The travel destination side of the cooler is a great adhesive vinyl (affiliate link) stash buster project! I used assorted scraps of vinyl to cut out the names of the places we have visited together in the past. And I'll be able to easily make more travel destinations in the future with more vinyl scraps!

I love the mixture of different fonts! I really helps make the different locations pop off of the cooler.

And you can see I also utilized all of the stars that were removed from the state flag doily as a border for the destination side of the cooler. And I have lots of room for more travels!

And, so we never feel too far from home, we can always look at the Tennessee state flag doily to remember home.

What do you think? A fun way to record your travels?? Maybe it will even encourage us to take even more trips!
