I think it’s official, I have retro camper fever! I mean, two camper projects in just over 2 weeks?? Yeah, I have it bad! (Did you catch my Retro Camper Keychain??)
I designed this pattern in the Silhouette Studio software and cut it out on gold foil heat transfer. I think the design paired with the foil turned out AMAZING!! And I’m sharing my design with you!
This file is a .studio file so it can only be used with Silhouette Studio software. I wish there was an easy way to save these files as an SVG! But all of the tutorials I’ve seen for that involve downloading multiple programs. Blech!
If you choose to use this file as an iron on, be sure to FLIP the image HORIZONTALLY.
The addition of the “Happy Camper” text was an idea I had just prior to cutting, but you can easily add it yourself to the file with a text box. The font I used is called Albemarle Swash.
How awesome is this gold foil?? It’s from Expressions Vinyl and is called Metallic Gold. I need many, many, many more sheets!
When you are ready to cut the file, practice cutting small circles first on a small piece of the foil. It seems to be a lot thicker than standard Silhouette Smooth Heat Transfer. I set the blade to 3 and the thickness to 12.
If you use the file please let me know! I would love to see what you do with it!
