We had to move a year ago 3 months after our notice was given. Between shopping for a new home, packing, and repairs to our new home, there was not time to declutter. Everything was packed as efficiently as possible. I unpacked the priority items for the kitchen, baths, and bedrooms. From there I went back to the rest of the boxes for those rooms one at a time. I kept only what was needed or what would fit. The rest was donated. Then continued with the clothing, etc. A year later, I am now working on my sewing room. I took time trying to figure out how the furniture would be placed, and are now adding some storage and organizers now that I have identified what was needed and where it should go. I agree, take your time with your layout and determining your needs. You can still sew in the meantime and get a feel for the room. It takes time, but you will be glad you did!

What a great roundup of organization ideas! Such clever uses for things I would have never even considered. I'm now going to be looking for a spice rack at thrift stores! Thanks for sharing at Thursday Favorite Things.
