DIY Halloween Votives

DIY+Halloween+Votives+1
I have a super simple and inexpensive Halloween project for you today!
Ready?

You will need some plain votive candles.
You can typically purchase them in bulk for little money just about anywhere.

The only other item you need is some glitter glue.
Any brand will work, but I used Stickles.
Simply draw your design on the side of the votive.
Most all glitter glues have a precision tip so you can easily create any design.

Allow the design to dry (at least 24 hours).

They fit perfectly in my votive holder and add a little extra something to the Halloween decor.
These will be so fun to make for all the different holidays!

  1. Brilliant! I made some candles decorated with stickers - wouldn't have thought to use glitter glue!

With Only 3 days left till Halloween I would love to invite you to post this over at my Halloween link party on The Purple Pumpkin Blog! Hope to see you there πŸ™‚

  2. Those are sooooo simple too. Gosh they look like something you would see at Pottery Barn or Pier One. Love to see this kind of thing. Thank you for sharing.

    1. They should still be able to be lit. These votives tend to melt inward if you only burn them for an hour or so at a time. If you plan to burn them for an extensive amount of time it will probably mess with the design. But either way, they should be able to be lit without any problems.

  3. Oh those are super cute! I would never have thought of doing that with glitter glue. I love them all but I think the little spider is my fav!
