Upcycled Bundt Pan Wreath

Rather than toss an old worn out bundt pan, upcycle it into a festive new bundt pan wreath!

After all of that holiday baking you may be taking stock of the wear and tear of your bakeware.

One of my favorite pieces of bakeware is the bundt pan!

There are so many festive recipes for the holidays for bundt pans.

If yours is starting to look like mine, it might be time for a replacement. But don't throw out the old one!

Upcycle it instead.

You can turn your bundt pan into something decorative and fun that can keep it out of the cupboard AND the recycling.

Turn it into a bundt pan wreath!

Bundt Pan Wreath Supplies:

Pouncer sponge

Paint (Americana Multi-Surface)

Bundt pan

Ribbon

Adhesive

This particular bundt pan is from Old Time Pottery and brand spanking new.

I could not resist the color!

They have several fun colors to choose from so you can create just about any color scheme.

Blue and red is a pretty popular pairing right now and lends a vintage look to the wreath.

To upcycle your old bundt pan, decorate as is or use spray paint for your desired color.

Bundt Pan Wreath Decorating

I chose a pouncer sponge with two sizes of circles.

Use both ends to make polka dots on the outside of the bundt pan.

The Americana Multi-Surface paint sticks well to multiple surfaces including these metal pans.

One coat of paint will do.

Allow several hours of drying time before continuing on to the next steps.

Bundt Pan Wreath Ribbon

I chose a wide red linen-looking wire ribbon for hanging the bundt pan.

Slip the ribbon through the hole in the pan and fold if needed.

Cut to desired length.

Fold the ends over and staple for a clean look.

The staples will be covered later with a bow.

Take a length of ribbon (~5-6 inches) and roll to hide the edges.

Pull the tips together and glue together to create a loop.

I used Beacon's Fabri-Tac.

Allow the adhesive to dry then glue the loop to the top back of the hanging ribbon.

Create a pretty bow and glue it to the top of the hanging ribbon.

Trim the ends to the desired length.

Isn't this bundt pan wreath pretty and festive to hang in the kitchen?

As you clean out your home for the New Year, look at the things you are going to get rid of and see if you can come up with a new use for them.

A good repurpose definitely beats purchasing something you could have made with what you already had.
