Craft Funk
I am in a craft funk.
Don't get me wrong. I have a long list of projects on my to do list.
So what's holding me back?
This disaster I call my craft nook.
Appalling, right?
It happens every January. See January 2010, for example. After my son's birthday in September I get backed up on holiday crafts and don't take time to clean up after myself as I go from project to project and eventually this is what my space looks like.
I'll dig out eventually. I'm sure another Before & After will be due! I actually have plans to decorate my space a bit as well as reorganize.
In the meantime, I still have some other December projects to share with you. Stay tuned tomorrow!

You're not too bad. If you saw my crafty space - it's much more disorganized. But then i guess i'm a messy crafter and as long as i know where everything is (sort of), i just carry on.
I think we have all been there a few times ourselves š I am looking forward to the room updates.
Oh thank goodness it's not just me.. I could have written that post alomst word for word... (minus the son's b-day in sept. hehe) But my back-up start about the same time... I get started on Halloween in Aug/Sept. and then the holiday frenzy turns my space into a distaster zone.
I looks like you have a lot of wonderful supplies in your little space and tons of fun projects going on. Good luck digging out and getting organized for another year of crafty goodness =)
I like a clean room, but I am so with you- my craft area is SO hard to keep clean. One project after another (or sometimes overlapping a bit) makes it tough to always keep things straight.

O man, I'm with you! Slowly but surely I'm getting that craft room organized, but now I want to make it my own and make it fun, too!!
Um, I just unburied myself from a space that looks very similar about an hour ago, and I've already got one project on my sewing machine! Of course my DH took the kids away for the day to give me some peace, so I had that luxury...
I share a space with my son & his Legos, surrounded by a baby gate to keep a curious toddler at bay. So everything I want to keep away from her winds up on my sewing table.
Just do a little at a time and you will have it clean eventually!
We've already discussed this issue. I'm still feeling funky, but I forced myself to get crafty yesterday.
I put all of my "crafty" stuff into storage containers until we can move it upstairs, and it was a major pain unstacking and restacking all the boxes to find what I wanted...another barrier to crafting. š
I can't wait to see some more December projects!

Oh me too! I keep telling myself it's because we haven't put our Christmas stuff away which is happening today. But that just means my office becomes even more of a junk repository of miscellany. I have ideas. I have a birthday party to plan and Valentine's ideas, and I have new toys I got for Christmas, but I'm in a fog.
I am having the same feeling - but after the move, I feel like every single room in my house looks something like that!!
I'm with you. I'm having the same block. I really need to clear off my desk again, put a ton of things away and I bet my mojo will flow again. Until then all I can manage is coming into my sewing room, vegging, and watching TV. *sigh* Good luck with the organizing!
