Creative Ribbon Storage Ideas

I have a confession…

I may be addicted to ribbon!

Honestly, its all over my scrap nook in terrible containers. See?

I hate how I have it stored. I never know what I have without digging through multiple containers. I need help! I need some super duper ribbon storage!

On Sunday, I shared this photo with you from my weekend retreat:

I love the idea of using glass jars (I’m thinking baby food jars since I have so many!) for storage and poking a hole in the lid to run the ribbon through. Very clean. Easy to access. Travels well.
Only problem I see is that I have so much ribbon that this type of storage would overwhelm my scrap space. BUT it would work for some of the ribbon I use most often. I’m still willing to try it out.
In my journey to find the ultimate ribbon storage I’ve compiled quite the collage of creative ideas from crafty scrappers around the web as well as storage products you can purchase in store.
So, let’s get started!

15. Ribbon Ring

16. Jumbo Pull-Ez ribbon purse (Too messy looking for me, but a great way to store a lot of ribbon in a small space!)

17. Ribbon clips (You get 10 or so for $.99, and they rock! Yes, I have some. 🙂 )

18. Making Memories ribbon storage box

19. Kaisercraft ribbon dispenser (It comes unadorned so you can create it to match your scrap space! And its a great steal at $10.99.)

20. Ribbon cards

Also visit The Domestic Diva for all sorts of fantastic storage ideas for your scraproom (not just ribbon)!

I love all of these ribbon storing ideas! What you need will depend on your scrap space (can you mount things on your walls? Do you have enough tabletop space?). But I’m going to tell you right now, I bought the Simply Renee Clip It Up for ribbon (#10 on the list) yesterday because it was the “steal” of the day over at ScrapbookSteal (it was 50% off!). I can’t wait for it to arrive! I’ll give an update on my ribbon storage when I get it fixed (someday).

So, how do you handle your ribbon storage? I want to know!
