I have a special treat for you today! I am out of town for work so Tammy has graciously offered to guest post for me. She has a great company to introduce you to, if you’re not already familiar. I know I am anxious to learn more!
Hi! I am Tammy from Not Just Paper and Glue. If you have visited me you will probably know that I have a love for “bling” – particularly P K Glitz! I was introduced to P K Glitz in June 2008 and since that time I have taken on the responsibility of Design Team Coordinator and Club Glitz Editor for the company.
What is P K Glitz?
P K Glitz, Inc. offers the finest in Glitter, Embossing Powders, Shimmers, Adhesives and more.
All of the colors are hand blended using the highest quality base ingredients and then hand blend to get the luscious tapestry colors that are available. This is what makes P K Glitz products unique and stand out from the rest of the products out there.
The P K Glitz Glitter Glitz is available in over 100 different colors that are available in .5 ounce jars or prepacks. In the Glitter Glitz line you will find Gems, Pastels, Translucents, and Pearls.
Powder Keg Embossing Powder:
The P K Glitz Powder Keg Embossing Powders are available in 72 colors and are package in a 1 ounce jar. Just recently P K Glitz has started packaging the colors in “Wheels” which contain 6 coordinating colors in 1/4 ounce jars. This has been an exciting addition for our customers because it gives them a way to try out more colors for a smaller investment.
P K Glitz Embossing Glitter:
The P K Glitz Embossing Glitter gives you the sparkle that is associated with our Glitter Glitz combined with the quality of our Embossing Powder. The Embossing Glitter comes in two different styles; E P Max and E P Lite.
The E P Max gives a complete opaque coverage to your project where the E P Lite gives a translucent coverage allowing you to see the color or design below it.
What is the most popular product that you have right now?
Right now, the most popular product that we have is our Art Acetates. They are selling very well at the shows that we attend because they are simple and easy to use and they give your project that “WOW” effect. The Art Acetates are available in our store in a wide variety of styles and designs. Just recently we added the Candle Cozy which is sure to be a sell out with the holidays that are quickly approaching.
You can find instructions on how to use the Art Acetates on the P K Glitz instructions page.
What other products do you carry?
P K Glitz also has WonderFilm, Sticky Paper, and Sticky Tape which are really fun adhesives that you can use with the Glitter Glitz, Embossing Powders, and Embossing Glitters.
The WonderFilm and Sticky Paper can both be cut from any type die cutting machine including the Cricut, Silhouette, or Wizard.
The WonderFilm is a double sided adhesive that is sandwiched between two carrier sheets. It is is the perfect answer to all those items you have had problems glitzing or embossing in the past. It sticks to glass, acrylic, paper mache, cardstock, wood, and on and on and on. It is also a wonderful permanent bond for layered cards.
Sticky Paper can be used in multiple ways as it is sticky on one side only allowing you to obtain dimension with your projects. It is the perfect paper for “Glitter Pictures” and can also take the heat of embossing projects.
Sticky Tape comes on 55 yd rolls and can be used for anything from embellishing to adhering. Sticky Tape is Acid Free and heat resistant, great for use with Powder Keg Embossing Powders and a great value for the price!
How can I see P K Glitz in person?
Jim and Janelle Marshall, owners of P K Glitz travel to over 26 shows throughout the United States. You can check their show schedule to see when they will be in your area next. If you are going to be in the Houston, Texas area this weekend (July 16 – 17, 2010) you can stop by our booth at the Creating Keepsakes Convention.
Each year, Jim and Janelle also host a Christmas Art Retreat at their home. Nestled in Rocky Hill, KY, there house was originally built in 1857 as a Railroad Inn and the rails are still very active directly in front of the house. In later years it was a Bed and Breakfast and I can personally attest to it’s old world charm.
This years art retreat will be held on November 6, 2010 and you can find out more details by visiting the P K Glitz website.
What if you can’t attend the retreat or visit them at one of the shows?
P K Glitz has an online subscription based forum called Club Glitz. Currently I am the editor of Club Glitz and it is my goal to give the subscribers more advanced tutorials, tips, product reviews, games, and a whole lot more. Club Glitz recently underwent some changes that improved the quality and ease of use of the club and I am currently working on some other projects that I hope will enhance the Club even more.
Thank you Michele for letting me stop by today and visit with you!
Thank you, Tammy, for helping a gal out and for sharing these great products with us! I can see myself using a lot of these in my scrapbooking and other craft projects!
