Scripted Ribbon Poinsettia Wreath

November 2, 2014 By: Michele McDonald11 Comments

scripted-ribbon-poinsettia-wreathEven though Halloween just ended, and it’s technically time to move on to Thanksgiving, I have to admit that now is when I begin my Christmas crafting. That way, come December, I can sit back and enjoy everything I made in November! Smart, right?

I am super excited to share with you my first Christmas craft of the year: my new Scripted Ribbon Poinsettia Wreath!

And if you love Christmas wreaths you are going to LOVE this post! I’ve joined up with several of my friends, and we’ve ALL created Christmas wreaths! Be sure to check out all of the links at the end of the post.

PICT7824Supplies:

Wreath form

10 yds of scripted ribbon (Old Time Pottery)

white poinsettia bush

2 snowy pine picks

hot glue gun

PICT7825Start by wrapping the ribbon around the wreath form. Create a loop at the top for hanging and glue it on to the wreath. I was tempted to just leave the wreath like this! I just love the ribbon so much.

PICT7827Next, clip the poinsettias and leaves you will be using off of the bush. Also trim the snowy pines. Before gluing anything to the wreath, arrange all of the items to get an idea of where they will go.

PICT7828Once you have your placement figured out, hot glue all of the pieces to the wreath. I minimized the number of poinsettias used because, really, the ribbon speaks for itself in this project and I just couldn’t see covering it up too much!

The wreath is so simple but really packs a punch!
