Snowman Fingerprint Gift Jar

snowman-fingerprint-gift-jarI was debating saving this post for next Christmas, but it seems like so many of us have been experiencing crazy snowstorms that I just had to go ahead and share! We were iced and snowed in all of last week. Believe it or not, that’s pretty crazy for Tennessee! Usually our snow comes in and out in about 24 hours.

I have shared these cute snowmen fingerprints in the past on ornaments, but today I’m showing you a fun alternative that doesn’t have to be packed away when the Christmas tree comes down! This is a fun kid craft that also makes a great gift container keepsake.

snowman-fingerprintsAll you need is a jar, acrylic paint, and little fingers. I found this little jar at Home Goods.

Paint your child’s fingers with white acrylic paint and have them press it on one side of the jar. Once dry, paint on eyes, mouth, nose, buttons, scarves, and hats on your little snowmen.

fingerprint-kids-craftWith two little boys in the house I had them each decorate a side of the jar with their fingers and wrote their names and the year with a Sharpie on the bottom of the jar.

Simple, sentimental, and the kids will love that they get to help!
