Calling all superheroes! Do not miss this fun superhero newspaper birthday invitation for your next birthday party.
You can print these invitations at home! They have been added to my Etsy shop (affiliate link)!
PLEASE READ: I’m sad to have to write this, but due to some negative comments I feel the need to address it.
This superhero newspaper birthday invitation is NOT free to download and print and NEVER has been. It has ALWAYS been for sale in my Etsy shop, as are all the invitations I create. There is a pin on Pinterest that has gone viral stating in the comments that this is a free printable. This is NOT something I pinned on Pinterest therefore I have zero control over that pin. It is incorrect. Please do not leave negative feedback on this post if you arrived here expecting to find a free printable. I would not intentionally mislead anyone for the sake of a sale. If you DID arrive here via that pin, please leave a comment ON THAT PIN that this invitation is not free so that others may see it. THANK YOU!
I’ve been working behind the scenes to get ready for my oldest son’s upcoming 4th birthday party.
Per his request, we’re doing a superhero theme featuring Batman, Spiderman, and Superman.
I think I may have actually created a party monster because when we started discussing his birthday party, he told me he wanted “a Spiderman cake, Superman celebrations (meaning decorations), and Batman somewhere.”
And the entire time we were talking he was gesticulating wildly with his hands.
Make a mommy proud! *wiping away a single tear*
So I thought a fun Daily Planet inspired superhero newspaper birthday invitation was in order.
Superhero Newspaper Birthday Invitation Design
So let’s get this party started with a look at the superhero newspaper birthday invitation!
I decided to create a newspaper invite Daily Planet style.
(If you’re not geeky like me, the Daily Planet is the newspaper Clark Kent worked for.)
(And if you’re really not geeky, Clark Kent is Superman’s alter ego!)
The invitation measures approximately 5.25″x7.25″ so I was able to print two invites per sheet of cardstock.
I found my gray cardstock at Hobby Lobby.
It is sold by the sheet so I just waited (impatiently) for it to go on sale and snagged several sheets.
The cardstock is textured on one side and smooth on the other.
I printed on the smooth side.
I simply trimmed the paper down around the edges then cut the cardstock into 2 invitations.
To complete the look I wanted I folded the invites to look like a smooshed version of a rolled newspaper.
Simply fold the bottom of the invite 2/3 of the way up then fold the top of the invite up and over the bottom.
I think it turned out pretty cute!
And, most importantly, my son loves it.
I tried to add as many extra touches as I could to give the feel of a real newspaper.
I even added “endorsements” and “advertising logos” to the bottom of the paper.
All superhero related of course!
All in all, I am super pleased with how it turned out!
And I wonder if anyone will take me up the option of wearing your favorite superhero logo to the party…
Time will tell!
And I’m happy to be selling this superhero newspaper birthday invitation in my Etsy shop (affiliate link)!

Hello everyone , I’m Shyla. Welcome to my website . I started writing in middle school after a creative writing assignment for my English teacher. I did creative writing for a while before I thought about doing something else. I had always loved doing research papers because I’m passionate about learning. When you combine writing talent with a love of learning, academic writing only makes sense as a job. I’m passionate about assisting the students of the future in their school career. When they don’t like their assignment , I am there to help.

Are you able to recreate this for a Girl Superhero party? I know you said it is not free and I am okay to pay you on Etsy but wanted to check first as my daughter is turning 7 and wants a superhero party.
