The Top Ten Blog Posts of 2016 at The Scrap Shoppe
Hello, friends! I love ending the year by taking a look back all the projects, roundups, and recipes that encompassed the blog over the past year. I took a look at my analytics to see which posts from 2016 were the most popular, and I was presently surprised to find they were all craft projects! There is almost always at least 1 or 2 round up posts grouped in there.

So, counting down from 10 to 1, here are the top ten posts on The Scrap Shoppe for 2016!

10. Dressed Up Desk Organizers
Dress Up Desk Organizers - Target Dollar Spot organizers taken to the next level!
Rounding up the bottom of the list are these Dressed Up Desk Organizers. These little lazy Susans were from the Target Dollar Spot that I fancied up with paint and scrapbook paper. An inexpensive project that really makes a statement!

9. Thankful Dry Erase Board
Use metallic vinyl on scrapbook paper to make a pretty wreath. Frame it and use it as a dry erase board to write what you're thankful for on!
I was excited to see this Thankful Dry Erase Board in the top ten since it was only published on the blog in October! I cut leaf shapes on adhesive vinyl and applied them to a sheet of scrapbook paper. Once framed, you can write on the glass with a dry erase marker. Pass the frame around the Thanksgiving table and everyone can write on the leaves what they are thankful for.

8. Framed Floral Map
Make a framed floral cross-stitch map on new stitchable mesh from DMC!
This may be my favorite craft project of 2016! I have big plans for this Framed Floral Map! For one, it took me back to my roots of crafting. Cross-stitch is the craft art my mom taught me to do when I was little. I hadn’t done it in years! It was fun to get back to it. I plan on completing this cross-stitch at some point (it’s actually a pattern for the world!).

7. Media Center Vinyl Backboard
This plain Jane media center got a fun makeover with adhesive vinyl!
When this media center was installed in our house last year I knew I wanted to dress up the back of those shelves. The opportunity arose August with a challenge from Expressions Vinyl to use their vinyl in a home decor project. Thus the Media Center Vinyl Backboard was completed, and I love looking at it daily!

6. Watermelon Wreath
A DIY watermelon wreath is a great way to kick off summer!
Do you ever dream about craft projects? I have on occasion and this Watermelon Wreath was actually one. It turned out even better than I imagined as is the perfect summer home decor accessory!

5. Chore Chart Printable Kit
Chore Chart Printable Kit
If you’re looking to teach your child to be more responsible, especially with the start of the new year, I would suggest giving them their own chores to be responsible for. This printable Chore Chart Printable Kit is a great way for them to keep track of their responsibilities. We love using it!

4. DIY Vintage Style Ornaments
If you love the look of vintage Christmas ornaments but can't find any around, try making them yourself!
I am so excited these DIY Vintage Style Ornaments made #4 on the list since they just went on the blog last month! You have to click over and see what these ornaments looked like before I made them over. It was a huge change, and I couldn’t love them more!

3. Harry Potter House Coloring Bookmarks
Pick your Hogwarts House! Harry Potter House Coloring Bookmarks
I’m so glad the love for Harry Potter is still going strong. I don’t think it will ever die down, do you? These href=”https://www.thescrapshoppeblog.com/2016/07/harry-potter-house-coloring-bookmarks.html” target=”_blank”>Harry Potter House Coloring Bookmarks came in at #3. They are perfect to print and color for when you re-read the Harry Potter series!

2. Typography Adult Coloring Sheets
Typography Adult Coloring Sheets - great therapy for adults and can be framed for home decor use! #relaxandcolor #coloringwithMichaels
Apparently coloring is pretty big this year since #2 on the list is more coloring pages. These Typography Adult Coloring Sheets can be printed, colored, and then framed as home decor. Aren’t they fun?

1. Craft Room Reveal
Bright and inviting craft space! Lots of storage and organization in a shared family space. - The Scrap Shoppe
Topping the list this year is my Craft Room Reveal! I put more hours into this project than any other on the list so it’s only fair it’s #1. It actually blew all of the other projects out of the water as far as my analytics went! I’m still inspired every time I walk into this space. I’ll be spending the rest of Christmas break reclaiming the desktop from craft overload! Click over for all the details of my craft room.
