Birthday Card & Cupcake Topper {Lifestyle Crafts}

Lifestyle Crafts has come out with a couple of new products that I just had to share with you!

One is simply genius (as its name implies) and other can take your paper crafts to a new level.

I’m going to use these products and show you how I made this fun birthday card and cupcake topper!

First up is the new Genius Platform!

This thing is so cool, you guys! Its a magnetic platform for your dies. So they don’t slide around when you put them through your die cut machine! Genius right? (pun intended!)

The platform even comes with a set of cute nesting dies.

The other fun product I want to share is the line of Detailz Dies.

When you use the Genius Platform, these dies emboss and cut at the same time. If you don’t have the Genius Platform you can still cut and emboss, it just becomes a 2-step project. Pretty neat, right?

Today I’m playing with the Flags and Party dies.

Using some thick paper in combination with the Genius Platform and dies, I created these cute little flags.

I love the subtlety the embossing gives the dies.

A stamped message on this flag makes it the perfect cupcake topper.

Today is actually my husband’s birthday, so I let my son color the Party dies then I put them on a piece of cardstock and we made a card out of them.
