Turn any seal-able container into a handy treat container for your pet!
When you’re getting your craft on at home, don’t forget your 4-legged friends! Our pets can benefit from some handmade items just as much as anyone else in the family. It’s also a great way to create customized items for them.
Making a customized treat container is a fun way to easily personalize something for your pet. And, with this simple plastic container, you can take it on the go, too!
Not only will making our own treat container make it easy to customize, but it can be SO much more inexpensive as well! I found this great food storage container at Old Time Pottery for just $1.99! And we definitely want a container that seals to keep treats fresh.
I also snagged some of the fun chalkboard labels Old Time Pottery carries, as well as some fun dog-themed rub-ons from my local craft store.
Apply one of the chalkboard labels to the center of the container.
Cut out the rub-ons that you plan to use.
The rub-ons should come with a popsicle stick for rubbing the transfer onto another surface. Use firm pressure to apply each rub-on to the container.
Use a piece of chalk or chalk pen to customize the chalkboard label. We’ll be keeping special treats for our pup in our treat container so I labeled it as such.
Fill and you’re all set. There is a pound of treats in this container, and it’s not even full yet!
You could also decorate the jar with pet-themed stickers. And, of course, a container like this is perfect for an on-the-go pet to take treats on the road or fill with kibble for overnight trips.
