Need ideas to decorate your dining room table for fall? Try one of these 6 simple decorating ideas!
Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away! Do you host the holiday at your home? How do you decorate your table? Do you even think about it because, let’s be frank, Thanksgiving will have you mostly focused on food. I like to decorate my Thanksgiving table very simply.
I tend to shop my home for many of my table decorating supplies. But I do love to throw in fresh linens and pretty faux flowers. I go with faux florals so I can decorate ahead of the holiday and don’t have to worry about replacing anything that is past it’s prime.
This is a rustic-style vase that I already owned. I gather some leafy stems with decorative mini pumpkins on them for some of the vases and placed bright colored mums in the rest. I also filled an old glass juice dispenser with pretty mums for a makeshift vase. Then it’s just a smattering of pumpkins (some real, some not!) around the vases to complete the look.
This old drawer is one of my favorites to use in my holiday decorating. Here I have filled it with 4 of the same leaf stems from the previous set up and topped the center off with some mini white pumpkins. Very simple, but perfect for the centerpiece of the table!
Another favorite is this old pie tin. It basically acts as a bowl and you can fill it full of holiday goodies. Here I have added some faux leaves and an assortment of pumpkins.
You might recognize this pretty pumpkin vase centerpiece. I shared it here as part of a fall vignette last week. It is SUPER simple to make and is pretty high impact. And, I can just grab it from wherever it was in the house to set in the center of my fall table. Or if I end up needing two tables, it’s handy to have on hand as extra decor. I paired it with some fall leaves.
If you thought the previous pumpkin vase was easy to make, you haven’t seen this one yet! I seriously does not get easier than this little vase setup. I shared it along with the pumpkin vase as part of the Easy Fall Farmhouse Vignette last week. Be sure to check it out to see how I pulled this off so easily. This vase paired with some mini pumpkins could not be simpler.
This last centerpiece is a little more work. Luckily I have a tutorial for this Fall Harvest Centerpiece as well as a matching wreath. It’s still very simple to make and you can use it anywhere in the house and pull it aside as a centerpiece if needed. The gold leaf gourds and pumpkins in the vase and scattered around the bottom add a little glam to the table.
These ideas are all very simple to pull off. And your fall table can be made up ahead of time so the day of Thanksgiving you don’t have to worry about it. Focus on the food and spending time with your family!

Each of these is beautiful and I love to shop my home also. Although, I will admit that sometimes I give in and hit up a few thrift or craft stores.
