Make an adorable turkey handprint shirt for your little one to wear for Thanksgiving.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
I wanted to share one last Thanksgiving project then I swear I’ll switch gears into Christmas.
But I have to share this adorable turkey handprint shirt I made for my little guy to wear for Thanksgiving!
It was pretty simple to create, even for a non-sewer.
Turkey Handprint Shirt Directions:
1. Trace your child’s hand on some printer paper and cut it out.
2. Use the handprint paper as a stencil to trace onto fabric and cut out the fabric.
3. Since I’m a non-sewer, I used fusible webbing to iron on the design to the shirt.
4. Then hand stitch some feet, a gobbler (what do you call that red thing???), and outline the turkey.
If you sew, you can do all of this on a sewing machine.
5. Finsh it off with a fun eyeball which can be glued on with some Fabri-Tac.
The turkey handprint shirt turned out pretty cute!
I think this may have to become a Thanksgiving tradition.
Here’s an action shot of the shirt at work.
Little man helped his grandma make one of the Thanksgiving dishes and absolutely had to give it a taste test.

Sweet photo! This idea is great...I do love Thanksgiving because the kids always do a hand print turkey at school...the idea of putting them on a shirt is awesome.

Ah!! Michele, this is so stinkin' cute!! Your little turkey shirt is way cuter than I ever imagined. Just imagine both your boys in little turkey shirts next year!! (I am too chicken to go out shopping in the craziness, too, but the hubs loves it!! He dragged me out in it today, and it was a mess!)

So cute! I love that it's made with his hand print! What a cute keepsake! The little red thing is called a wattle. I learned that on Nick Jr. LOL! :)
