These snowman gift jars are super easy to make and are such a fun way to give little gifts this holiday season.
They are perfect to fill with a sweet treat or snack for your favorite neighbors and/or your child’s school teachers.
And you can whip one up in about 15 minutes!
For this project you need some jars (these are from the Target Dollar Spot, but any jars will do!) and Styrofoam balls that are roughly the same size as the jar lids.
These balls are 3″ in diameter and the lids are ~2.5″.
Since the balls are slightly bigger than the jar lids simply cut them off center rather than right down the middle.
Once cut, make sure that it will fit on the jar lid.
Trim as needed.
Hot glue the Styrofoam to the jar lid.
Some basic supplies will make up the rest of the snowman.
Buttons are perfect for eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stack orange buttons to create a carrot nose.
Use hot glue to attach the buttons to the Styrofoam.
Some ribbon will act as the scarf.
Tie it around the base of the Styrofoam on the jar to hide the seam.
A cute little button hot glued to the side of the jar finishes it up.
The second snowman has a thumbtack nose that was painted orange and scrapbooking brads for the eyes and nose.
Just look around your craft space for supplies that will work.
I will for sure be whipping up a few more of these snowman gift jars for Christmas gifts and get a jump start on some presents!
