Social Saturday – Winter Mantel

Hello, friends!
I’m starting my first Social Saturday of the new year.
You may have noticed I stopped posting them every week a while back.
The truth is, I just don’t always have anything fun to share.
Working full time + raising 2 boys + keeping up the house doesn’t always lead to exciting events. 😉
So I’m only sharing when I have something I think will interest you!

Today I thought it would be fun to share my winter mantel!

Sometimes I’m at a loss as to how to decorate it after Christmas.
I’ve told you before how sad I get when all the Christmas decor goes down.
Luckily I decided that the garland on the mantel was “wintery” enough to keep up!
Yay!!

I decided to mingle some Valentine’s Day items into the decor for the next month. I think they blend pretty well!

Be sure to download my Be Mine free printable garland!

I also interspersed some of my stuffed paper hearts into the garland.
They look so cute tucked into the wintery branches!

My silver birch deer and faux tree vase take center stage on the mantel along with some wintery white poinsettias (both the deer and vase are from Target).

I bought the Mercury glass hurricane a few years ago. It has subtle snowflakes on it. So cute!

The Mercury glass candlestick was a December purchase from Target

The metal snowflake was a 70% clearance item from Target’s after Christmas sale (score!).

The Mercury glass bottle was a DIY by me. I put some fun wintery branches in it.

The deer diorama is coming to a blog near you in tutorial form soon (Monday!)

The round snowflake-looking metal ornament was a fun find in the 70% off after Christmas clearance sale at Target.

If I didn’t realize it before, I now see how obsessed I am with all the pretty items at Target!

So tell me, do you do a winter mantel or go straight to Valentine’s Day?
