Tried it Tuesday! #7

May 20, 2014 By: Michele McDonald4 Comments

We are so lucky to have several farms nearby that allow the public to come and pick fruit. One of my favorite farms even has a big festival for the kickoff of strawberry season that we find ourselves attending each year! To encourage the strawberry picking the farm makes dish upon dish using their own strawberries. We always attend with empty bellies and have to be rolled back out to the parking lot in wheel barrels. I am only exaggerating slightly!

One of my favorite dishes to make with fresh strawberries is this Strawberry and Cream Pie from Just Putzing Around in the Kitchen. The cream is absolutely divine and so light. The fresh berries on top are the perfect complement to the cream. This is definitely one of our favorite summer recipes!
To further simplify the recipe I use a pre-made graham cracker crust (chocolate is good, too!).

I have started truncating my posts to avoid having my content stolen. I hope you’ll click over to finish reading the post. Thank you for understanding!
