Tried it Tuesday #67
I gave a little sneak peek of this Tried it Tuesday recipe on Instagram last week. It's a great recipe for blackberries, and super simple to make... since I took a few shortcuts with it. And it tastes delicious! Sound like a winner? I agree!

I was on the hunt for a simple recipe to use up some freshly picked blackberries. Normally I would go with a cobbler, but I'd just made one with peaches. So I decided to give this Blackberry Turnover recipe from Serena Bakes Simply from Scratch a try. And I'm glad I did!
The recipe includes a homemade pie crust, but I opted for the pre-made kind from the cold section of the grocery. I unrolled it and used a cereal bowl to cut out the circles for the turnover. Other than that, I followed the recipe to a T and the turnovers turned out perfectly! And, since I did not have to make the pie crust, they were super quick to make, too.

Hi Michele, your little pies look so good, my favorite comfort food is something with a crust and this would make me happy.
Thanks again for stopping by this week.
Have a great weekend! Karren
This looks so yummy, especially since I haven't had breakfast yet! There's so many possibilities with this- we have mulberries falling off our trees and local strawberries are abundant! Thank you for sharing.
