It is the last Friday of the month which means we are wrapping up this month’s Fall Must Have Craft Tips.

This week I’ll be sharing some great tips on Creating the Perfect Thanksgiving Table.
Whether you are having a small family gathering or a much larger affair, creating a beautiful table can make your Thanksgiving more memorable and inviting to your guests.
You don’t have to go crazy but even doing one or two of these things can bring your table over the top.
1. Decide on a Place Setting
1.) Southern Living ; 2.) A Thoughtful Place
You will need to begin by deciding if you would like a more formal table setting or have it be on the more casual side.
Think of your menu and who your guests will be to make your decision.
Here is a graphic to help you decide what would best suit your gathering.

These would work well for just a small family gathering or I believe an all adult gathering.
Here is another one as well.
If you are having adults and children at your Thanksgiving this one will help you set up a kid’s table setting.
2.) Build your Centerpiece
Once you select what type of table setting you plan on having on your table, it is time to decide what type of centerpiece you would want to create.
They can be as elaborate or as simple as you would like.

Use pumpkins, flowers, leaves, candles, berries, whatever you’d like to create your centerpiece.
Add texture with a fabric table runner, kraft paper, burlap, or even wood.
Add layers as well but my number one tip for creating a centerpiece is to keep it low!
You want your guests to be able to converse across the table with one another and if your centerpiece is too high it will block their view from each other and they will have difficulty speaking.
Also, don’t make your centerpiece too full that it crowds the table settings for your guests. Make sure there is still plenty of room for the plates, glasses and silverware so your guests are comfortable.

3.) Have fun with Napkins
Don’t forget about the small details when creating your table.
Napkins can add a little extra fun and flair to your table.

Create beautiful designs by folding your napkins to add a little flair.
Fold them in such a way that they are useful and hold a menu or your silverware.
Or just create a beautiful napkin ring with the flowers you use on your table or with some lace, ribbon or burlap along with some added details like berries

4.) Let Your Guest Know Where To Sit
Another great detail to add to your table are name cards for your guests.
Even if you are just eating Thanksgiving dinner with your family, it is still fun to create a little name card to let everyone know they were thought about and are special.

Get crafty and make some fun, unique name tags.
They don’t have to be extravagant!
Use mini pumpkins and attach a tag or even draw directly on kraft paper on the table above the place setting.
