Simple Floral Place Cards

simple floral place cards
This year for Valentine’s Day I really tried to put together a fun tablescape for our family dinner. Now that we have kids, we spend the “day of love” together as a family rather than the hubs and I sneaking out for dinner for two. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I want to spend Valentine’s Day with all of my loves!
One of the things I put together for my guys to feel extra special were these floral place cards.
And they are not just good for Valentine’s Day, but perfect for weddings, dinner parties, and anytime you want to spruce up the table with something extra fun.

I bought a mixed bouquet and divvied the flowers out for each floral arrangement. With one bouquet I was able easily make 4 place cards for the table with some left over.
I put the flowers in Mason jars that I had wrapped decorative washi tape around. You can easily find a fun color/pattern of washi tape for whatever occasion/theme you are celebrating at your party that adds a little extra oomph to the jars.

I used a thin piece of cardboard that I had painted with chalkboard paint to write the names. The cardboard was attached to a toothpick with a piece of masking tape which made it simple to stick into the floral arrangement.

It is a refreshing and fun way to invite guests to your table, don’t you think?
And they were definitely a big hit with my guys.
These would be great for a rustic wedding, too!

That's so sweet! What a great idea. It just takes the simplest of things for it to be special. Pinning :)

These are so sweet Michele! I need to start adding more things like this to holidays or even regular days to dress things up! Especially since all I would have to buy would be the flowers!
