Hey y’all! Did you miss me yesterday?
Social Saturday is a day late since I was at a scrapbook convention ALL day yesterday. 🙂
I had a great time hanging out with my girlfriends, shopping, crafting, and eating. The convention was at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, which I haven’t been to since it reopened from the big flood that hit last year. It looked as fantastic as ever!
My scrappin’ girls!
Nobody told me how bad my hair looked. Sheesh! That’s what happens when you take a group photo at 11pm at you’ve been go, go, go since 6am! 🙂
Its been a SUPER busy week at Casa de McDonald! It started last weekend when my brother-in-law and his wife and daughter decided to come up at the last minute and visit. They are the only ones of my husband’s siblings that don’t live around here. So it was a BIG deal to do a lot of visiting all weekend. Plus it was the first time all 4 cousins got to be togther!! Lots of photos!
How cute are they all? Little Samantha is our only girl at the moment and the oldest at 4 years old. My little Caleb is the youngest at 4 months. Needless to say Memaw and PawPaw were thrilled to have ALL the grandkids together!
This was also my first full week back to work. It wasn’t as rough as I expected (thank goodness!)
I’m trying out a new meal plan to prevent dinner chaos. It was put in place this last week for the first time. It seems to be going well! I’ll share more about it at the end of the month.
The basil pictured above is from one of my gardens (I have 3!). I ♥ basil! I grow it from seed and it always takes! So we grow a ton for pesto and other Italian dishes. I incorporated it into last week’s meals. I’ll share some recipes next month.
I made this Pinterest inspired treat as a birthday gift for my oldest son’s daycare teacher.
Also The Scrap Shoppe’s Facebook page hit a whopping 1,000 fans earlier this week! If you’re not a fan yet, I would love for you to come over! There is occasionally random conversations and updates as well as info letting you know about new blog posts. C’mon over! 🙂
That’s a recap in a nutshell. I’ll be back tomorrow with another project flashback that I think you’ll really enjoy!
Oh, and next weekend I will share some of the fun craft/scrapbooking projects I saw at yesterday’s convention.
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
