Social Saturday - There's a Turkey in my Swimming Pool!

Did that title grab your attention?

Good! But more on that later…

First I want to share something extra fun that happened this very day.

Its the reason Social Saturday is going up a bit late today.

I finally got a new car!

Meet my Subaru Forester!

Isn’t she a beauty? As soon as we got home with it I made the hubs run in and get my camera to take a picture. What you can’t see in the photo are the two wiped out little boys in the backseat. 😉 They were real troopers waiting for mommy to test drive the car then wait for all the paperwork to get done.

I enjoyed the drive home. This crossover vehicle is a bit different than the Honda CRV (which I also test drove) and the Toyota RAV-4 in that its a little lower to the ground which is great for me having only ever driven small cars. Very adaptable!

I have a few thing I want to add to the Forester like the rear spoiler, moonroof and window coverings, tint the front row windows… all in good time!

And apparently I need to get an iPOD. Am I the last person on earth not to have one?

Maybe so…

But this vehicle has a single disc cd player which just won’t do since my son’s toddler toons will probably be in it at all times!

Okay, back to the title of this post…

I was walking through the living room the other morning and happened to look out the window to find a wild turkey in my son’s swimming pool! He was just strutting around and taking a few sips before he wandered off. And my dogs? (one of which is a hunting breed!) Just lounging around watching it. lol! Apparently they only bark and carry on if they know someone is watching. Must keep up appearances you know!

Other than that we had a fun 3-baby play date earlier this week which is always fun. We were going to put the babies in the swimming pool, but of course it rained. But that is why the swimming pool was out in the first place.
