It’s fair season here at home! We love taking our boys to see the animals, the rides, the night lights, and, of course, a big highlight is the FOOD!
I have several personal favorites at the fair, but a fresh funnel cake is near the top of the list.
When I decided to try this Funnel Cake Recipe from Mess for Less I was first amazed to realize that I had all the ingredients on hand. Its doesn’t call for anything outrageous! Secondly, I was amazed at how easy they were to make and how awesome they tasted. They were easily as delicious as a funnel cake from the fair or even better! Definitely the price was better.
This recipe was easily twice as much as this family of 4 could eat, and they really are better fresh.
I suggest halving the recipe your first time unless you’re feeding a large crowd!

Ok, I love fair food! Did you need a special tool or anything to get it to look like that?

The tutorial says to use a funnel, but I just drizzled with a spoon. It wasn’t as pretty as the one in the photo, but tasted just as good! I bought one of those inexpensive squeeze bottles at Target to use next time. I’ll snip the tip to make it wider before I use it, but I think it will work great! :)
