Today I am sharing my favorite pound cake recipe! I mostly use this for our birthday cakes, but it could be used for so many other things. Why is this one my favorite? It uses able half the number of eggs as most pound cake recipes!
This Pound Cake recipe from Creations by Kara is my go-to birthday cake recipe. I most recently used it for our Lego Superhero party. It’s easy to make, easy to color the batter, and 1 round of the recipe will make enough batter to split into 2 round cakes or 1 thick round cake that can be cut into 2. It’s also super delicious! I always get comments on how good it tastes. And it is super dense. Our Lego Superhero cake had 6 layers and not a single skewer to hold it together. It is that stout!
To make an 8-inch round cake I altered the cooking time to 350 degrees F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
